velqazir Fold Architect Task Table Lamp

Fold is our answer to the classic architect's lamp, re-drawn without nostalgia. Two flat aluminium arms, three knurled brass pivots, and a shade that tilts through 180 degrees — the whole thing folds down to the thickness of a hardback book when you don't need it, and reaches a full 60 cm across a desk when you do.

We kept the mechanism honest because a task lamp lives or dies by it. The pivots are brass-on-steel with adjustable tension screws, so the lamp holds any position you leave it in — no slow sag over months, no fighting a spring. If it ever loosens, a quarter-turn of a screwdriver brings it back to factory stiffness. That is repairability by design, and it's why we're comfortable putting a five-year mechanism warranty behind it.

The shade is a shallow spun-aluminium cone with a white inner face, which concentrates light down onto the work surface instead of scattering it around the room. Paired with a high-CRI LED, it renders colour accurately — genuinely useful if you're doing anything where red has to look red: drawing, sewing, sorting fabric, checking a print, building a model.

Finished in matte black or bone white, Fold looks at home on an engineer's desk, a studio workbench, or a bedside table where you want light you can aim rather than light you have to live with.
